FurAlert is a project aimed at given pet owners a free and easy way to share information about their missing pet in a fixed format. There are many places that allow a pet owner to share a post or message but very few that allow the easy inclusion of a map. Pet owner can create their alert and share this alert on social media. If new information becomes available an alert can easily be updated an shared again.

Important to know: FurAlert is maintained by volunteers in their own timeThis means that at times it can a while for new updates to become available. If you find a problem please let us know at support@furalert.org and we will get to it as fast as we can. But again please remember that we are all volunteers here.

We could use help in programming, design, communication and alert coordination. Our goal is to get a coordinator in every region that FurAlert reaches. Coordinators are people that can create and maintain alerts for pet owners. Loosing a pet is already stressful enough, creating and maintaining an alert while searching for a pet can be a difficult combination. As a coordinator you can fulfill an important job in quickly establishing where a pet went missing and which information is known.
